In a recent episode of Simply Saturday, my weekly YouTube show, I showed how quick it is to stamp a background, essentially creating your own Designer Series paper. Many types of stamps work well with this concept, but I especially like a 2-Step stamp set since I can get great coverage and colors this way. I used a new set, called Darling Details, which is currently available as a Bundle with coordinating dies. I already LOVE using this bundle and I’m sure I’ll be showing many more projects featuring these “darling” products!

To make this card you’ll need:
- colored card stock for the base 4 1/4″ x 11″; Score and fold at 5 1/2″
- white card stock 4″ x 5 1/4″
- scrap white card stock for stamping images and die cutting. I free-handed the words.
- 12″ of baker’s twine
The colors I chose for this card are: Azure Afternoon, Flirty Flamingo and Lemon Lime Twist. To begin, stamp the large flower outline using Flirty Flamingo ink. You’ll stamp 3-5 of them arranged all around the white card stock. Next, use the partner stamp to fill in those flowers, this time stamping the Flirty Flamingo off onto scrap paper first so that you get a lighter version of Flirty Flamingo. Next you can add lots of leaves with Lemon Lime Twist that has been stamped off first. And then use Lemon Lime Twist full strength with the branch stamps. Lastly you can fill in some of the remaining white space with the small flower and Azure Afternoon ink. On scrap paper I stamped my 2 additional flowers and used the dies to cut them out. “Hello there” was stamped in Azure Afternoon and snipped out by hand with paper snips. Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, attach the 2 flowers and the words then attach a twine bow using a Mini Glue Dot. Fast and Easy! Many color combinations, stamps and die cuts would work to create many different looks. If you made this card today, what colors would YOU choose?
