Let’s make a 2 4 6 8 Box!

This treat box is one you’ll want to make time and time again. With small pieces of DSP (use up scraps!) to decorate the front and back, you can create these boxes with any occasion in mind. The box is large enough to hold several small candies or other treats. I’m calling it the 2 4 6 8 box because that is where you’ll score your card stock. So EASY to remember!

As you can see, I’ve made this treat box with different themes. It only requires a 1/2 sheet of colored card stock, the same size as a typical card. In my tutorial I’ll show you 2 methods for doing the scoring. You can decide which one to try. Or try both and see how it feels.

In the video tutorial, I made the “Make A Wish” box. I used Lemon Lolly card stock coupled with a colorful striped paper from Lighter Than Air DSP. What do you think? To make this project you’ll need:

  • Lemon Lolly card stock 5 1/2″ 8 1/2″
  • DSP, 2 pieces: 1 7/8″ x 3 3/8″
  • Bubble Bath card stock – about 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ (for die cut circle)
  • White card stock – about 2″ x 2″ (for smaller die cut circle)
  • 10″-12″ Bubble Bath Ribbon
  • Rhinestones
  • Scissors
  • Adhesive
  • Simply Scored scoring tool
  • Ruler, pencil & stylus
  • optional: Stmapin’ Trimmer with scoring blade
  • hole punch

For the “Bee Mine” box below, I used the Bee My Valentine bundle, Daffodil Delight card stock and Bee Mine 12 x 12 DSP

For the green “You Are Amazing” box below, I used Soft Sea Foam card stock, Delightful Floral DSP, word stamp from Color & Contour.

And for the “Let’s Eat Cake” box below, I used Fresh Freesia card stock, Lighter Than Air DSP, and stamps from Hooray for Surprises and Heartfelt Hexagon.

Do you have a favorite? At first my favorite was the Bee box, but now I’m leaning towards the Let’s Eat Cake box. Haha – good thing there are no rules when it comes to choosing your favorite, or changing your mind!

I hope you’ll try this project. And when you do, be sure to take a photo and share it with me on FB or in my Julie’s Stamping & Sharing FB Group.

Hugs and Happy Stamping!
