Corner Bookmarks!

This is a sweet little project you can make in no time at all. I made 50 of these for an event I went to over the weekend. It was as much fun making them, as it was “gifting” these to each lady at the event. You can determine how you want to decorate yours. But to begin, you just grab some DSP, a scrap of colored card stock and a scrap of white card stock. Here we go….

Now I did not invent this design. As you are aware, many craft and DIY projects are shared or CASED and this was no different. I received one of these beauties from my friend and colleague Cheryl Dorsey. It was made with the Owl stamp, very similar to the owl one in my photo. And both Cheryl and I learned how to make these from seeing other crafters with the same or similar design. So these are my versions, but I BEG you to copy and share everything you learn here 🙂

To make the owl corner bookmark you’ll need:

  • Delightfully Eclectic DSP: 3″ x 5″. Score at 2 1/2″. Turn 1/4 turn and score again at 2 1/2″
  • Berry Burst card stock 2″ x 2″
  • Basic White card stock 1 3/4″ x 1 3/4″
  • Bird’s Eye View stamp set (item 161436)
  • Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad (item 132708)
  • Paper Trimmer (item 152392) or Simply Scored scoring tool (item 122334)
  • Bone Folder (item 102300)
  • Paper Snips (item 103579) or scissors
  • Multipurpose Liquid Glue (item 110755)
  • Markers or colored pencils. I used Stampin’ Blends in the following colors:
  • Old Olive (item 154892), Bubble Bath (item 161675), and Berry Burst (item 161681)

If you are new to stamping/papercrafting, you can also get by without ALL the things above, but you will need:

  • Patterned Paper for crafting (preferable double-sided)
  • card stock that coordinates with your patterned paper
  • white card stock
  • Access to a paper cutter or our Paper Trimmer (item 152392)
  • metal ruler (Amazon: https://amzn.to/3HiaIOG)
  • Stylus (Amazon: https://amzn.to/432bWGA)
  • ink and stamps OR a photo, OR a cut out image etc. Whatever you want for your focal point
  • glue or adhesive and scissors
