Today’s card can be made with 3 small scraps of DSP! Don’t you love that?

I’m continuing to use a lot of Pretty Peacock (the lovely blue-green color) in my Christmas projects. It’s one of the colors in the Walk in the Forest DSP, which I’ve used over and over this season. That DSP pairs with 2 stamps sets beautifully: Beary Cute and Merriest Trees. (I have a more advanced card that is similar to this one. You can see it below.)
To make this card, you’ll need:
- Thick Basic white card stock 4 1/4″ x 11″”, scored and folded at 5 1/2″
- Pretty Peacock card stock 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″, plus a scrap
- Basic white card stock scraps for stamping, cutting
- DSP (pattern 1) 1 1/4″ x 3″
- DSP (pattern 2) 2″ x 3″
- DSP (pattern 3) 3 1/2″ x 1 1/2″
- embellishments of your choice – I used Adhesive Backed Glitter sequins
To watch the tutorial of this card, view it on my YouTube channel. It’s episode #95 of Simply Saturday.
Here is another version of the card, with more steps:

On this card, I started by using Snowflake Sky 3D embossing folder on a piece of white card stock 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″. I attached that to the front panel of the card base. The sizes of the Pretty Peacock panel and the 3 DSP pieces are the same as the original card. I changed the word element to be a banner shape, die cut from Stylish Shapes dies, and then I cut apart a Merry Christmas image into 2 pieces. Instead of a tree for the focal point, I stamped and punched the bear (Beary Cute Bundle). Finished with glitter sequins in blue…I really love how how this turned out.
I hope you are enjoying your month and making time to create!
Hugs and Happy Stamping.
