Winter, Love and Cocoa

Ok, ok, so here in SoCal it is not freezing. In fact, aside from some gray clouds we aren’t even getting weather. But it IS January. It’s “California Cold” (you need a hoodie outside) and we all KNOW people who live where it’s truly cold. Freezing even.

So what are we to do? Put on your slippers and sweatshirt and Stamp Hot Cocoa cards! This Saturday you’ll see episode 206 of Simply Saturday where I show how to make this easy card. The colors definitely lean towards Valentines, but you can change it up if you wish.

This stamp set is on it’s way out. More than Autumn currently appears on the LAST CHANCE list which means it will either sell out or be retired very soon, whichever comes first. DON’T WAIT – add this to your cart today. https://www.stampinup.com/products/more-than-autumn-photopolymer-stamp-set-english?demoid=1434

For the card, I simplified the layout from another card, shown below. This card was from a Virtual Craft-Along that I earned by completing a sales challenge back in the Fall. In the Craft-Along, we made this card which uses 4 strips (each way) to create the background.

I love the look of this card! We used stamps and dies from the Cake Day Bundle (a MUST have) and the cute DSP was the prize that I earned, along with the event. This paper is not available to the public, but you can use something similar. I’ll be doing another video tutorial soon, where I show how to to the paper-weaving.

After the Craft-Along event, I promptly stamped about 15 of THIS version and sent them to customers who had recently placed orders through my online store. What do you think of this cute woolly lamb? (It’s available NOW in the January – April mini catalog. See it online too)

So many fun things to be working on! I am wrapping up this post so I can go create some super sweet little Valentine treats with chocolates. Maybe I’ll post that little project next time!

Thanks for stopping by! Hugs & Happy Stamping!
