I had a design in mind this week, where the words were just simple blocks sitting on top of a beautiful piece of paper. This is what I came up with and posted as Simply Saturday episode 213 on my YouTube channel.

You can see that it’s actually quite simple. Some Garden Green cardstock forms the base. A layer of Petunia Pop cardstock frames the DSP (called Florals in Bloom). And then just 3 scraps of cardstock, each with words on it.

Then I decided to step it up and add some die cutting. What started as simple ended with WOW. Some arch die cuts and the word Lovely die cut with a shadow added…


Put it all together and you get this…

Here are the main products and a full list of supplies for both versions is below:


- Garden Green card stock 102584. Cut 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″. Scored and folded at 4 1/4″
- Petunia Pop card stock 163801. Cut 4″ x 5 1/4″. (Die cut this piece for Arch if desired)
- Florals in Bloom DSP. 165175. Cut 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ (Die cut this piece for Arch if desired)
- Florals in Bloom DSP. 163801. Cut 4″ x 5 1/4″, if using behind arches.
- Granny Apple Green card stock 2 3/4″ x 5 1/2″. Use to fussy cut “Lovely” or die cut the Shadow.
- Basic White card stock for die cutting “lovely”, if desired.
- Basic White card stock. Cut 4″ x 5 1/4″ for inside panel
- Bubble Bath card stock scrap for stamping and trimming down.
- Petunia Pop (or Granny Apple Green) card stock for stamping and trimming down.
